Disney | Pixar’s Toy Story 3: A Journey of Website Creation and Localization
Role Overview:
At the heart of Disney’s enchanting universe, I had the privilege of spearheading the EMEA website launch for “Toy Story 3”, arguably one of Disney’s most iconic franchises. I was supplied with a basic HTML website crafted by Disney|Pixar USA, which I transformed into a dynamic, content-rich platform, pulsing with the magic of storytelling.
Tasks and Achievements:
Project Initiation: Developed and executed a comprehensive plan to build and localise the “Toy Story” websites, including e-commerce platforms, ensuring each resonated with the charm and appeal of the Pixar brand.
Content Management System Integration: Replatformed the initial flat website by introducing a robust content management system, enhancing user experience and engagement.
Content Collation and Management: Curated a rich tapestry of content – from captivating imagery to exclusive merchandise – by collaborating with international marketing teams.
Localization and Language Mastery: Launched localised versions of the site in 16 countries, across 12 languages, including Arabic. This required meticulous attention to cultural nuances and linguistic precision, ensuring each version echoed the localised nuances Pixar work hard to bring to their movies.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Led a team of creative and technical experts, guiding the project to fruition with input from various stakeholders and managing relationships with external agencies.
International Coordination: Seamlessly coordinated with teams across Europe and the USA to source and manage assets, aligning each site’s marketing material with the global promotional calendar.

This project was more than just a technical endeavour; it was a journey into the heart of storytelling, where I learned to weave the wonder of Pixar into every aspect of content creation. Whether visual or written, each element was infused with a narrative charm, reflecting the immersive world of Toy Story.
